I msut say im a fan of scrapbooking. Nevr tried making a cd, but you could compromise. Make a beautiful scrapbook AND put a cd in the back of it with whatever on it. That way there is always a way for your friend to view it. They can either take it out or show friends on the computer. Two ideas for 1! Sounds good to me!

Ok…I am a scrapboooker. I prefer you get a Cricut. A Cricut is a cutting machine that you can use to cut out things to title the pages, and make the pages prettier. You can buy different cartridges for (it like Beyond Birthdays cartridge.) The cartridges are from $50 to $80. The cartridges have different shapes like balloons and that stuff. Small Cricuts are about $100-$180. And the medium ones are about $180.00-200.00. And the big ones are about $250.00-$350?. I would like to see pictures of good times, funny times, and just lots of pics. Maybe like you said, everyone write a note. If you do want a Cricut for scrapbooking check out ebay.com, acmoore.com, walmart.com, and hallmarkscrapbook.com. Have fun making the scrapbook!

Well for the cover you could put an awesome pic of them with their name above or below the pic.

For inside you could dedicate a spread (as in the 2 pages side by side) to each of the band members including a photo of them and a short bio. Be sure to cut out their instruments and put them there too.

For the rest (how big do you intend this scrapbook to be?) you could just put small pics of them together (try to find more candid shots) and/or shots of them from their concerts. You could also write the places where they plan to make stops on their tour. (if you went to a concert you could stick in your concert stub).

Other pages or spreads could include your favourite songs and titles as the background of the page.

If you still have empty pages to fill just do a collage or something.

Be sure to incorporate their favourite colours.

Once, she blew up a picture of both of us and framed it. Another time, she got this little stuffed cow and puff painted all over it. I’d probably organize it chronologically. If you were friends before you started dating you could begin with that, if not, then you could start with the first time you met or your first date. Then move on to other important milestones or events.

Things you need:
- An actual scrapbook itself (you can find these at places like Walmart; I’ve even seen some nice ones at the Dollarstore)
- Page protectors if your scrapbook doesn’t come with any (make sure they fit!)
- Scrap booking pages (pick ones that match your ‘theme’, perhaps your girlfriend’s favourite colour)
- Card stock and/or construction paper to make borders and to place photos on
- Photos of you and your girlfriend
- Photo captions and “entries” (whatever writing you are putting on the page)
- Other mementos (ie: tickets from the concert you went too, brochure from a museum…)
- Letters (for titles of your pages; you could cut letters out of card stock/construction paper, buy letter stickers, print them off the computer, write them out by hand…)
- Stickers (you can buy actual scrap booking stickers, which are usually more expensive but are very high quality and made with multiple materials, or use any regular stickers)
- Scissors (you can even buy scissors that have different edges)

Scrap-booking could be a wonderful and easy way for you to get to know her better and find out what else she likes to do. Looking through her pictures will give you plenty of conversation subjects and from there, you can find out what else she likes to do.

Ask her what kind of movies she likes and see if there is anything playing she’d like to see. Maybe she plays bridge or rummy or something and you could invite some of her friends over to play cards and have refreshments. If she likes to cook and try new recipes, you could get into her old cookbooks or get on the internet and find something tasty to try.

Try to have some questions ready ahead of time…some things you’d like to know about her and start there if nothing comes to mind while you’re working on her scrapbooks. Maybe you could pick up a couple of scrapbook magazines and some scrapbook supplies to take with you as a gift.

You could type something up on your computer, on word or something, and print it out. Then, cut the edges with those scissors that make those weird/cool borders. You could put some colorful paper behind it to form a 2nd border if you wanted, maybe even cutting the 2nd piece of paper with the same ‘border’ scissors. Then maybe add a title, 2 or 3 pictures, and tada, you have an awesome scrapbook page!

Well there are a number of things that you can use

One is pictures of you and your bestfriend through out the years.

You can include pictures of special places between you too like the mall you hang out at or a park where something funny happened. With written reminders of the memories.

You can also include inside jokes between the two of you

if you don’t have cinema tickets theres also things like notes you two passed, things that you both like either in actual if skinny or pictures if not.

You can write a cute message to your friend about your friendship and put it at the end and kind of decorate it up a bit.

Stickers, cut shapes out of paper, ribbon, you can layer different colored papers over eachother for cool effects. Buttons, just anything really.

You could ask them wat THEY want 2 do and if its something crazy, tell them”ok well wat do u think about this idea?” then tell them some of the activities u have and try 2 use the things u have and make it as though it involves the activity they want 2 do. For example, if they wanna play hide and seek, have them make masks and hide with the masks on and if they want 2 play outside, make it a scavenger hunt w/ toys and things like that. U can even play stick bowling! Take popsicle sticks and have them make a tower out of them and after its finished get a ball and have them try 2 knock it over. C who gets the most points and when someone wins, they get 2 choose the next game! These r just a few ideas that may or may not be helpful!

Well, you can find out some of the things they had for their wedding – foods, the kind of cake, flowers, colors. And somehow incorporate it. Do they still have their wedding topper? If so, try to see if you can use it for a display near their cake. You don’t have to make it super fancy – but if they had white cake – make it a white cake. Maybe incorporate some of the foods that they had in their wedding – in the party.

Also, see if you can find what music they had – have it playing as background music at the party.

You’ll do great!!! Take lots of pictures – and add it to the scrapbook of memories for them!!

Does it have to be 80 pages? If so, make the layouts, but leave areas for HER to put the pictures in, so if you know she did certain things but you weren’t with her or you don’t have pictures of the event, make the layout, but leave an area or two blank for her to put the pictures in when she gets the book. Then that’s something you two can do together and have fun with. Just thing of the fun and laughter you’ll both have thinking back to the times you did stuff when she fills in those blank pages.

You can also ask her family or other friends for the pictures that you’re missing. I’m sure they’ll be more than happy to help you with what you’re doing.

I wouldn’t stress out too much, she is going to LOVE the book and the effort of what you did. If you can’t get the pictures to cover all the pages, leave the areas blank, do the layout, and have fun with her filling in those pictures with her when she gets the book, it’ll be what you two can do together.

You can also take a few pages and make lists of memories, like top ten lists of favorite songs, or favorite memories, favorite places to hang out, favorite movies, etc. Favorite foods, favorite quotes, favorite private quotes between the two of you, you can make a page for each of those things and decorate each one. So if you do a page of favorite songs, decorate the page with music stickers, and if there’s love songs, heart stickers, etc.

Also, do a dedication page in the beginning, the first page should be a page from you to her, wishing her a happy birthday and also like a letter from you to her telling her why you did this and what her friendship means to you, etc. Decorate that page also. The last page can also be a closure page, like a summary of the book, like a big happy birthday page, etc. It doesn’t have to be all pictures, you can have family members of her’s write letters to her, friends write letters to her, etc. Her pets through the years, etc.

What you’re doing is very sweet and your friend is going to love it!
